Joe Lacey has been passionate about sailing since his early childhood, sailing with his friends on the lakes and shores of central Florida. When he moved to Reno with his wife Lori, they continued to sail on the beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake.

However, the sailing season is limited in Reno. So they bought a larger boat and kept it moored in San Francisco Bay, where they could sail 12 months of the year. Joe has been actively sailing since 1992 and his passion for the sport doesn’t show any sign of waning. He’s been sailing the waters of Mexico since 2005 and loves showing visitors the joys of sailing and discovering Puerto Vallarta from the sea.

Lori Lacey loves to entertain guests and practice her culinary arts at every opportunity. When we discussed the idea of doing sailing charters, her first thought was, "I'll prepare these wonderful meals for our guests so they'll feel like they are on that show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!. It will be fun!

Lori has already written one cookbook, In Good Taste, Reno/Tahoe. A cookbook that features recipes from the best restaurants in the Reno / Tahoe region. Giving tours aboard Dos Amantes gives Lori the chance to exhibit her favorite recipes to our guests. It is simply unbelievable how she can prepare showcase recipes on a rocking boat with a 3 burner stove. She never fails to impress her guests.
